Hi Windy,
I tried to check into the 20 meter net last night but, nobody heard me! I was
calling CQ ten minutes before the net started and about ten minutes after it
started. I heard someone on the frequency announce the Elecraft net but, I
guess he couldn't hear me. I was running 10 watts on my K2. Unfortunately we
had bad weather here last night with tornados, hail and severe thunderstorms
so, I had my main vertical antenna down. It's on a tilt mount. I was using a
small portable vertical so, I'm sure that didn't help. I went to 40 meters
and heard some activity at 7.192 but, I wasn't sure it was the net since I
didn't hear any mention of it. Instead of spending time on the net, I spent
the evening as a weather spotter on 2 meters.
I'll try again next time!
