[Elecraft] More on K3 trouble

Bruce,

Are you putting the right plug into the right connector??? On the Elecraft
Pro Set, the mono plug is for your microphone. The stereo plug is for your
headphone. Put the mono plug into the mic connector on the back of the K3,
and the stereo plug into the headphone jack on the back. Turn on the Bias
to the rear connectors via the menu (the Elecraft Pro Set is an electret
microphone). You should be good to go! It sounded to me from your post
that you were plugging the stereo plug into the mic connector, which is
probably why the light came on. And, of course, plugging the mono mic plug
into the headphone jack would mean no sound output. Maybe I didn't
understand your post, but that's what it seemed you were saying.
