If you're having difficulties with the latest firmware upgrade, I'd 
like to ask that you first contact me directly (n6kr at elecraft.com) 
rather than downgrade. I'll work with our staff to try to quickly 
resolve your issues. Our full attention is on the firmware.

We've had a few cases where the new "FPF" file didn't load properly. 
That's responsible for most of the anomalies reported. This is easily 
resolved with another firmware load, and I'll step you through it.

If there are other issues, we need to correct them and re-release the 
firmware. We need your help gathering this data.

One other general comment. A few of you have privately expressed 
concern that we're adding too many "niche" features, and that these 
might compromise basic CW/SSB/DATA performance. This is definitely not 
the case. The latest release improves all basic modes. But more 
important, the new features (such as being able to send CW while in SSB 
modes) have absolutely no impact when not used, and in fact must be 
specifically turned on in the menu. If you don't turn them on, you 
won't be able to use them, accidentally or intentionally.

I look forward to working with you to make the K3 meet all of your 
expectations. It'll be easier if you use the latest firmware and give 
us your immediate feedback.
