My 2 cents....

I took Tom's (N0SS) suggestion and found two 4 Ohm com speakers.  They are not Motorola....but are Midland speakers boxes.  They were marvelously.  I tried the Radio Shack OPTIMUS but they sounded muddy.  They sound good on the two meter FM rig in the shack, but not HF.  I tried some nice computer speakers (two sets) and they sounded "tinny."  The 4 Ohm Midland speakers, and I have two so I can use AFX, just sound marvelous.  I really am surprised.  

And...they were FREE!  A local ham had them in his junk box and gave them to me.  FREE!  Love FREE!

In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply.  If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it.  If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense.  Is Common Sense divine?
