My oh my.  I have NEVER received so many private email comments to any
single post, ever before, for any reflector...and on a holiday weekend
too!

And not one (yes, not even one, as in "zero") was a negative comment.

My mailbox runneth over, mostly with comments similar to thes one
immediately below (identity withheld).

"But I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to write the post you
wrote, and sat on my hands so I wouldn't write it. Thanks for taking a
bullet for the rest of us anal-retentives who cringe every time we see
this. :-)  "

Well, I did NOT "take the bullet" on this one; quite the opposite.

Reflectors of any technical nature are not the proper place for the
Grammar Police to routinely round.  But clearly (based on the
responses I received), this topic is high on the radar for many who,
appropriately or not, bite their tongue and say nothing (or, as cited
above, choose to "sit on my hands").

I am thrilled that I am not alone in the world on this topic!
