Dave,

We'll take your comments on this constructively (as input to future 
firmware revisions). The present front panel layout and functionality 
was carefully crafted over a full year, then vetted by about a dozen 
very smart contest/DX operators, but of course it can never achieve 
perfection on all counts. There's a finite amount of space and controls 
available.

Meanwhile, feel free to suggest very specific changes in the way the 
existing switches and knobs are used.

Regarding how the VFOs behave when set to two different bands: That 
will all change with the release of the subreceiver. Again, I'd welcome 
your input. One option is to "spawn" non-ham tuning ranges as required, 
avoiding "hijacking" of the ham bands, but I haven't tried this yet.
