The Bird 43 is a product that was designed some
50-odd years ago, with rated accuracy of +/- 5% at full
scale.
The slugs themselves add to that, how much I can't find -
maybe another +/- 5%?
A characterized Bird 43 (or any other piece of T&M
kit) used with appropriate care & understanding, has the
potential of providing results similar to what it was
characterized against.
