The KIO2 does support sending CW from the PC but most software doesn't, so
you'll need to key the key line via a transistor switch driven by RTS or DTR
to use those programs. It has often been mentioned that Ham Radio Deluxe is
one of the few that does support CW keying using KIO2, as does the KComm
program that I wrote.

For audio in to the K2 I use a cable from the headphone output on the sound
card with a resistive attenuator wired inside the mic plug. For audio out,
My K2 has the KAF2 and I tapped an audio take-off point from there, taken to
a socket I added to the back panel. There are various other methods
including a small buffer amplifier that someone made a kit for a while back.
