Thanks to Gary and the tip he sent me.
Just a note, IF your not getting good power while in SSB on the higher
bands, look at T1 and T2.
Gary ask me to check them to insure I had the right number of turns and had
them in the correct place. Course all that was good but it prompted me to
look closer at the surrounding circuits.
Found it !
Danged if I hadn't put a 10K resistor in for R10 on the SSB board.
Suppose to be 100 Ohms. Only a little difference ! :-)
Got a 100 Ohms resistor out of the junk box and installed it for R10.
Went back through the carrier balance etc. and hooked er up.
Man what a difference. I went from 1.5 watts on 10 meters to over 10
watts as indicated on the K2's meter.
Had no indication of ALC before and showing excellent response now.
Mind you, I'm not an SSB person but it really bugs me when thing aren't
doing what they should.
As Don would say, go back and check all components, solders etc. and
make sure you put them where they belong. :-)
Now for the rest of the options.........
Everybody have a great weekend.
