Thanks Dick,
I was going to cut open a 15 pin VGA extension cable and use it. However it
has some useful pins missing.
Only 9 of the 15 pins are wired in such a cable. Guess I'll have to wire my
own.
A word on the band data. They are open collector circuits. They do not
supply voltage like a normal LPT port would (e.g. output from most logging
programs). One has to wire them to pullup resistors to +5 v to simulate a
LPT port.
