So this reply has broken threading? It's a digest reply, but I would be
very disappointed in Thunderbird if it broke threading!
Providing you request the digest in multipart/digest format, any
competent mail program should be able to reply properly threaded to an
individual message from the digest. If you use Outlook, you can even
drag the messages from a digest into a folder and treat them like real,
individual, messages.
Thunderbird does have some quirks in this context, like bogus HTML tags
in the reply and an extra Re:, in the subject, but, to the best of my
knowledge, it gets In-Reply-To right. I'll check the archive, though.
