[Elecraft] [K3] what kind of solder and flux?

After the board is built, water soluble is not a good idea.  The joints 
will tend to corrode, and I don't like the idea of putting my K3 in the 
family dishwasher for a complete rinse...

I use plain old tin-lead rosin-core solder for SMT rework on my K3.  I 
sometimes use "no clean" flux rather than rosin core.  Depends on which 
spool is nearer when I do the re-work.  But I carefully avoid the spool 
of water-soluble flux which I use for prototype construction.

The regular solder will alloy with the solder on the board, no problem.
