[Elecraft] Proset K-2: Replace IC with HC-4 ? AGAIN ...SORRY

Hi all,

I'm vy sorry. I wondered why it seems I could not sent this mail to the 
reflector. I configured a rule to delete all mails with subject "K2", so 
this rule deleted my mails as well as your answers.

So to all who send me an answer, please send again with subject "Proset 
K-2" instead if "Proset K2". Many tnx !!

My original mail:

I am thinking about replacing the IC Mic in the Proset K2 with a HC-4.
My questing: Can I do this without any aditional things? Just solder out
the IC and solder in the HC-4? Or isn't it that simple? Of course with
no bias then...

However if it is that simple, what do you guys think? Would you
recommend this or is it better to leave the IC with the Proset K2 at the K3?
