The easiest way to do the latter is to use the K3 Utility used for
downloading new firmware.  Click Configuration and Edit Crystal Filters. 
You can enter everything very quickly without even having to go into the
K3's CONFIG menu (or even the Manual).  When you're done, click Save K3
Configuration on the Utility's Configuration page and the new filter
settings will be stored.
