[Elecraft] K3 capabilities

If you read my message, you know that I agree with you.

Under it all is a person.

Y'know, my grandfather could hitch and drive a team of horses.

I can't.

Still, I get where I'm going. And I get there faster then he did.

We humans continue to develop better tools to accomplish our goals more
easily and quickly.

That was my first point.

I agree with you about humans in space. I don't know if it was some German
rocket scientist, but I've heard that argument many times. It's a good
argument.

I also know that a human is one of the most expensive and heavy (by the time
life support is included) "computers" to put in a spacecraft. So simple
economics dictates evaluating whether there's a decent chance a specific
mission can be done by something a lot cheaper and lighter.

The problem is that a computer can't do crazy, silly things that just might
shed light on something we never anticipated.

Having a human around who can say "Hey, what if I..." is important to
humankind, whether it's an Astronaut or a Ham.

That was my second point.

Hi,

Didn't some German rocket scientist say something to the effect that the
best computer to have on a space craft is a human?

Nice try, I go with G4ILO.
