I don't know how #10?? will work because it is still
in the possession of UPS, but my TS-850SAT has a VOX
switch which if in the MAN position will allow me to
key the sidetone without keying the RF output.  I find
this useful when I want to tune a key, practice
sending with a new key or send a little code for local
training or whatever.  I can key the transmitter by
stepping on the foot switch, selecting send with a
push button or holding the PTT switch on the
microphone.  I would like to be able to do something
similar with the K3.
