Bet you didn't think of this...

If you want to operate ssb with a foot switch PTT and have CW available 
at the touch of a key, leave the K3 in VOX mode, lower the vox gain so 
that vox does not operate (if you use the foot switch, you don't need 
any  VOX gain), then if you want to send CW in the middle of a SSB 
event, simply start tapping on the paddle without asserting PTT via the 
foot switch. If you hold the footswitch closed, then the CW won't send. 
Of course, you have to set this up on CONFIG:CW WGHT.

It works... just tried it :-)
