[Elecraft] About Keyboard for K3 for digital or CW mode (Without PC)

How detrimental would it be if I broke up the power cable going to my K3
into two segments, joined by a two pair of Anderson power poles?  Is
this sheer stupidity on my part?  (It would be convenient for me to do
this, but not if it introduces more problems than it solves).
