John there is an apparent bug in some firmware (I am using 2.15/1.84 
which suffers from it) where you cannot increase the power level while 
transmitting in DATA A, could you have fallen foul of that? My K3 gives 
up to 100 Watts on 80/40 on DATA A with a RTTY tone input to the line 
socket - provided the power is adjusted while on receive...
