[Elecraft] CW popping sidetone

I have a recent model K2 that has an interesting problem: on each key closer, there is a  pop in the speaker. This is present at times in QSK or not QSK. It is present with paddle connected to radio, or Winkeyer external keyer, same problem.
It is present in test mode or not test mode. The pop does not show up on the RF envelope of my station monitor.
Any ideas?
