[Elecraft] K3 filter performance

This "which filters do I need" questions are getting out of hand.

We are dealing with a pro  Formual 1  car here.

Problem is that often we *are not* F1 technicians, nor do we own a 'suitable racetrack' or have the driving qualities  and lasting  experience.

Stop the nonsense discussions.
SSB; the 2.7 Khz is perfect **
CW; go for the 400Hz and if weaksignal/extreme contesting is required; the 200Hz 5pole

That is all you need.
Stop discussing at this point. Get on the band for crying out loud!

Note: my Orion has a perfect 4 pole 600Hz filter which performs perfect. Now do I think about a 10-pole 200Hz ??

** tested K3 extensively during VHF weaksignal, and 160m CW contesting from december 2007 till last weekend.
*** compared K3 to Orion; like both, but they are different.
