I use Ham Radio Deluxe for general rig control using the standard serial
cable to the K3's RS232 port. The digital programs interface to HRD, which
automatically sends a transmit command to the rig. This is totally
transparent to the operator. Hit send in MMTTY or PSK31 Deluxe or DM780 and
RF happens. 

BTW - DM780 handles many modes, including keyboard CW and CW decode.
Keyboard CW is handled in exactly the same fashion as PSK, QPSK,  MCW,
DominoEx, MFSK, MT63, Olivia, RTTY and Throb.

BTW2 - Simon Brown, HRD's developer,  is a K3 owner. The recent beta
software already has good support and I think well see great support in the
future.
