I think the easiest way to get 48 VDC phantom power for a "real" mic is
to put a small mixing board or mic preamp between the mic and rig. I
have a (yuck, spit) Behringer board that cost me $100 about 10 yrs ago
that provides phantom power on 4 channels plus some EQ and, of course,
mixing capabilities. Or I can use my Mackie board to do the same.
That's how I run good mic into my rig. If you don't want a mixer, you
can get several different mic preamps that will provide the phantom
voltage the mic needs.
