Assuming you are referring to a K3, these are dimensionless values. 
More is more ;-)

MIC GAIN is set by looking at the ALC meter. The bars there are also 
dimensionless.

CMP is then set using the CMP display.  There, each bar represents 
approximately 2 to 3 dB of IF envelope clipping.
