Leo,

For what comes out of the speaker (or what doesn't
come out of the speaker - noise) the K2 is a steal at
any price. I'm still trying to figure out why my K2
(6384) is so quiet and such a pleasure to listen to on
the lower bands while my $3K and $4K radios burn me
out with noise.
