[Elecraft] [K3] KFL3A-1.0K 1 kHz, 8-pole roofing filter : Purpose?

It's useful as a roofing filter. The DSP is then used for selectivity. If
the band isn't too busy, all is well. There is less loss through the 1KHz
filter than some of the tighter roofing filters, so less amplification is
needed to counter balance the loss and therefore less noise. Might be handy
for searching a band that's just opening or looking for a the tell tale
'599', 'up', 'up' etc of a DXpedition.
