I think this is a job on the side for Chip Foose.
Of course your K3 will arrive back one inch lower also with customized knobs 
on it :-)
With all the terms on a rod "hot rod" , "rat rod" this would be a "ham rat"?

Not practical, ea?  Yea, you're probably right.  Having suggested it, I
wonder how much my local body shop would charge me to strip / refinish
the existing top, sides, bottom to be something fun.  I'd pick dark red,
myself.
