Hi,

The problem not being able to see audio from the K3 3,5 mm jack is solved.

Cause:

1- PC board with female 3,5 mm jacks in KIO3 was NOT 100 % seated,
due to soldering points on the main KIO board . These points belong
to a gnd reference loop on the other side of the board, I clipped
them flush. Now the "jack" board is 100% seated, the female jacks
are now exactly flat against the back plane of the K3. Seems only
minimal misalignment is enough to cause problems in this area.

2- According to Joe Subich Elecraft seems to have changed it's
designation from PC-in and PC-out to LINE in and LINE out. Microham
labeled the 3.5 mm jacks matching the now non-existing variant ,
causing some misunderstanding here. But it still didn't
work... After a little bit of measuring of the complex cable from K3
to the Microham keyer with my Fluke it turns out everything seems to
work when the Microham PC-in labeled jack is in the LINE-out female
jack on the K3.
So the LINE-in jack on the K3 has now the PC-out from Microham
plugged in. At this moment you will not be able to find the
schematic of the K3 cable on the Microham website. However if you get
to the HELP section in the Microham USB Device Router 5.1.1 software
on your PC you can click download documents and there you'll find the
schematic.

Hi,

Anyone else also having problems with the Microham K3 cable? Mine
does with the line-in line-out jacks, they don't make a good contact.

Is there a difference between 3,5 mm jacks and the US equivalent?
