[Elecraft] K3: computer headset connection

Hmmm - the Mic plug on the Elecraft ProSet-K2 is mono.
There is not 'Stereo' warning below the mic socket on the reap panel.
Didn't I read that the socket was designed this way, so that a mono plug can
be plugged in safely? I assume if you plug in a mono plug, the unconnected
'ring' connection on the socket just mated with the sleeve too.
ProSet works just great on rear socket.

An old miser kept a tame jackdaw, that used to steal pieces of money, and
hide them in a hole, which a cat observing, asked, "Why he would hoard up
those round shining things that he could make no use of?" "Why," said the
jackdaw, "my master has a whole chestfull, and makes no more use of them
that I do." -Jonathan Swift, satirist (1667-1745)
