[Elecraft] 160 mtr on K2 question

Recently installed the 160 board on K2 (3349) and tuned up per the
directions.....I notice that there's a pronounced drop in noise on either
end of the band whereas the noise comes up quite a bit at the center of the
band. Is this "normal" receiver operation on 160?

Per the tune up directions I get full output at band ends, 1800 and 2000khz
and the 75/80-mtr band works as before.
