[Elecraft] K3 and recording SSB

He didn't say that you couldn't get the monitor audio from the line
out output - only that if you do so (by setting LIN OUT to "=PHONES")
the level is controlled by the AF gain control on the front panel. See
page 55 of the latest owner's manual.
