Sorry to hear of your polarization. For boredom, have you considered 
reading?  I recently finished a very interesting bio of Einstein, 
and a fun piece of fiction by Frank Deford about American baseball 
that you don't need to know the rules of the game to appreciate. I'm 
currently reading bios of Harry Truman and Hoagy Carmichael.
