[Elecraft] K3 w/Aluminum Spinner? - What am I missing here?

Why do Elecraft owners want to change the knob?  I just don't get it.  Then the discussion on this thread turned to how bad or large or whatever the picture was.

What is so great about the knob?  I just don't get it!  

The K3 looks great with the stock knob.

In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply.  If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it.  If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense.  Is Common Sense divine?
