I've had a KRC2 running on each of my K3's for six months now. I simply
made a cable up from the K3 ACC connector to the KRC2. Only the AUXBUS and
GND lines are used. Works great. I don't know about using the K3 RS232
connector, but if it works that way, it would be in the Kenwood mode
described in the KRC2 manual. Read the KRC2 manual, because there may be
different configurations depending on whether you are eavesdropping on the
CAT signals between the PC logging or control program and the K3, or whether
you are driving the KRC2 without a PC. W6FB will know for sure.
