The Palm Mini paddle is a very well thought out and nicely engineered
package; one of the best features is how the mechanism is completely
protected by the case when not in use. The ability to mount it
in various ways and positions is a nice plus.

It's very adjustable and amenable to a light or heavy touch. 

The overall feel is a little "soft" - the arms are made of something
like PC board material and the paddles themselves have a soft surface,
so there is some give in the motion after the contacts close.

For me, the benefits of the packaging outweigh the less-than-perfect
touch - especially for backpacking.
