No duties or Tax in VK for anything under Aud $1000 (about US $850)
Above $ Aud 1000 you pay 10%.
That is all ! :-)
So you could ask for your K* to be shipped in 2 batches, but than you 
pay twice the shipping. So your better off to just pay the tax.
