Mine is S/N 222 and when I installed some filters the other day I checked
and it did not appear to have this modification (couldnt spot a red LED
anywhere.)

With my limited skills I'm not going to risk carrying out this mod which
even the thru hole version involves removing an SMD component. If it wasn't
for this reflector I wouldn't even know anything was wrong, so why risk
damaging a working radio?
