There is no fundamental reason why not.  I don't have Outlook in front
of me, but I am fairly sure, as long as you request the digest in RFC 
822 digest format, you can simply move the attachments into a folder 
then manually run a set of filters on that folder.

However, most people that take digests do so because they want to 
control the number of items, but not aggressively filter.  I can't think 
of a reason why anyone would be forced to take the list in digest format.

On Unix, it might be possible to burst the digest with metamail, 
otherwise a fairly simple Perl script will do the job.  You can then use 
procmail to filter.

Ultimately, any limitation is in the mail user agent you are using, not 
in the digest form of delivery.

that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work.
