There's no swamping resistor in the SB-200,   there's  tuned inputs

I used one with my K2-100  until very recently (since replaced with a Transworld solid state KW
amp)  and it does behave linearly.  The only caveat is that you need to use an interface
between keying line of the SB200<> K2 ... no biggie.    I can turn the power down to lower
levels, and the amp still does it's thing, as a "linear" amp should!
