[Elecraft] [K2] 160 QRP & K2/dsp

Based on a post from the reflector, and being relatively new on top band, I decided to try the ARCI 160 qrp sprint last night. Man, what a blast - I have had the KDSP2 installed for almost a year, and up to now I was not fully convinced that it was worth the extra money over the analog filter. I was blown away by how well it worked on 160. Between the ability to quickly switch in a secondary receive (Beverage) antenna and the noise reduction of the dsp, the signals appeared where before there was only noise. The DSP made armchair copy of sigs that would otherwise make you lean towards the radio and push your headphone pad into your skull!!  The K2s ability to hold the pre/attn settings between antennas is just icing on the cake. Now I am warmed up for this weekends contest (although I may go to the dark side and bump up the power over 5watts from time to time ;))
