Good idea. Even better would be a portable storage device like CF card, memory stick or USB flash drive. Then you could take your configurations with you to a multi-multi contest site, FD , DXpedition, etc. It would also be nifty to have backup firmware on there, and would provide another way to update the firmware without a PC at the station site.
Ultimately, an ethernet port would be slick. I plan to use my K3 for internet remote operation, and currently do that with an RS232 to ethernet "serial server", but having it built in would be nice. That might facilitate firmware updating directly from the rig if it had internet access.
Could the KIO3 be reworked to add a couple ports like these?
