I use a 1400.  It has room for the K1, disassembled stand, Paddlette,
antenna wire, and batteries.  I'll admit I was lucky and got the case
new for just $25.  I probably wouldn't have got it at list price at the
time, but now that I have it I realize it's worth it.  How's that for
some circular reasoning?  :-)

By the way, I'm happy to send a photo if it'd help your decision.
