[Elecraft] K2 to MacLogger Connect?

Jack,
i would suggest you using ZTerm to make a step-by-step test.
ZTerm is a Terminal Program for the Mac like Hyperterm for Windows.
The download is free.
1. Check Keyspan Driver and Hardware:
- Disable Hardware Handshake and local echo in ZTerm. Be sure to
choose the correct serial port.
- Shorten Pin 2 + 3 on the serial connector of the Keyspan Adapter.
- If you type into the Terminal you see the characters echoing when
the Pin 2+3 are shortened, otherwise you have a Problem with the
Keyspan Driver or Hardware.
2. Check connection to K2:
Follow the Section "Serial Interface Test" in the KIO2 Manual. Just
use ZTerm instead of Hyperterm.
If this works, the problem should be within Maclogger. Unfortunately
i don´t know anything about Maclogger.
