[Elecraft] Another "K3 is coming question"

But if you wire your K2 for straight through, and use the MH2, doesn't a
resistor must be mounted inside the rig or inside the rig?  In my case,
I wired it inside the rig, to keep the MH2 in its original state, if I
decided to sell it.

If I understand correctly, since I did not put the resistor on the mic,
and when I get a K3, I will be able to use this mic on the K3, since it
has adjustable pre-amp gain?  According to the FAQ.
