[Elecraft] K2 SSB audio falling off

Is it only on SSB (and not on CW)?

I've had this with many rigs (but not just SSB).  Tapping the CW key
(providing watts output) may "cure" it by assuring continuity at some
downstream contact or relay (antenna box, coax connections, etc).

When I note this, it is time to clean (or at least cycle) all
connections external to the rig, especially antenna switches contacts,
double barrel UHF connectors, etc.
