About bandwidth, Part 97 does not specify any specific maximum bandwidth.
That's something causing a lot of debate right now for all modes. In
practice, emissions approaching 6 kHz are normal in the voice segments of
the band for those using AM rigs.

Is Wide SSB really necessary and is it even legal?
I for one would like to see SSB limited to no more than 2.7Khz in firmware
perhaps also with a low cut at around 150Hz
