And they tell me you can use the FM filter
(about 15 kHz) on transmit or receive, and limit the
bandwidth in the EQ part of the dsp.

I often operate when 40 meters is (mostly) unused, and enjoy
some decent fidelity.
I limit my transmit highs to about 5 Kc when
things are open, and if I should operate in close
conditions, reduce it to 4 Kc.

I never use a modern radio to TX am, as they generally
only put out about 20 watts on AM, and generally
sound poor, but do use them to drive the big rigs
(rf at about 20 watts).

Top it off with a sync detector, and the K3 looks
real nice for AM receive.

They plan on making a band scope to go with the K3
which I also like to have.

I am sure its going to be a great CW rig, I don't
do much with ssb.

It seems to me like its going to be a great radio
no matter what you use it for.
The Dayton reports are all positive so far, so I am glad
I dumped the 756 pro and ordered one in the first batch!
