I recall that most toroids call for #26 wire, while others call for  
#28 (small cores with more windings).  Other than a possible fit  
problems using larger wire, it shouldn't matter for the low-power  
circuits (the different colors are to reduce confusion on  
transformers).  The KPA100 uses #22 wire for the low-pass filters,  
which is probably dictated by power-handling and loss.  There should  
be more than enough wire in any of the kits.
