The ingress for Mercury is from inhaled vapors.
Biggest problem with spilled mercury is that it is nearly impossible
to clean up, and will continue to evaporate and expose people to its
poisonous vapors.

Mercury in these uses isn't likely to evaporate and be inhaled.
