I think I agree, here in a very built up area, I have an S9 noise floor that
I can do little about except move. And moving isn't an option right now
(maybe in 10 years when I retire, Hi).
Unfortunately, putting something bigger up in the way of an antenna is
probably not an option either (I have a high long wire, 6m halo, 2m halo &
6m/2m/70cm vertical).
Running much more that 100W would probably be a problem for my neighbours
too (with who I have good relations at present).
So a good Rx is my best option - I've got one on order, it's called a K3 :-)
